Applied Biology Laboratory (ABL) of Shenyang University of chemical technology was established in 2018 and completed at the beginning of 2019. Now it has 5 visiting professors, 5 staff members and 14 students at home and abroad. In December 2019, ABL was assessed as the 2019 Advanced Collective of Shenyang Colleges and Universities Service by Shenyang Education Bureau. The director of the Applied Biology Laboratory is Professor Yin Xiushan, chairman of Roc Rock Biotechnology (Shenzhen) Co., LTD., Liaoning Xingliao Talents (leading talents), Liaoning Outstanding Scientific and Technological Workers, Shenyang high-level Talents. He has worked at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, the University of Cologne Medical School, the Marx-Delbruck Center for Molecular Medicine and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. He has presided over 8 domestic and international funds, including the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Key Research and Development Plan, and the German Science Foundation, with a total fund of 40 million yuan. It has authorized 30 patents. Completed product development and transformation 4 items. He won the first prize of Beijing Science and Technology and the second prize of Chinese Medical Association.

The main research directions of the institute are: macrophage drug development targeting solid tumors, mesenchymal stem cell drug development targeting osteoarthritis, diabetes, cirrhosis and neurodegenerative diseases, epigenetic mechanism of human embryonic stem cell differentiation, rapid detection of infectious diseases in vitro, and stem cell vaccine development. At present, the Research results have been published in Nature Cell Biology, PNAS, Cell Research, Clinical Chemistry and other journals. The institute has advanced experimental equipment and strong scientific research atmosphere, with the world's top GMP laminar flow experimental design and experimental platforms required by molecular biology, cell culture, gene editing, animal feeding, blastocyst injection, etc. In Germany, Sweden, Switzerland joint laboratory with 50 million euros equipment and the world's top stem cell, molecular biology and genetic engineering research and development team.
